Bioskills Map wants every surgeon, educator and industry professional to be able to find and contact a lab, including people who use assistive technology. Bioskills Map is operated by Strong Mountain, Inc.

Conformance Goal

Bioskills Map aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Measures Taken

• Text and background colors are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Pages use a logical heading structure so screen reader users can scan and navigate.
• Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text.
• Inquiry form fields have visible labels, and required fields are marked in text, not by color alone.
• Interactive elements, such as forms, links and expandable questions, can be used with a keyboard.
• Layouts adapt to phones, tablets and browser zoom.

Known Limitations

Some content on Bioskills Map comes from third parties and may not fully conform:

• Embedded maps.
• 3D virtual facility tours hosted by other providers.
• Photos and documents supplied by listed labs.
